Wastelands Under Development
The Wastelands forums are evolving once more. Born originally as Natterland, rapidly becoming Freak Underground under the ownership of the SWH|UK Group, and eventually becoming The Wastelands in 2002, Wastelands UK in 2006 and now The Wastelands again.... The site's used all sorts of softwares for its base ranging from phpbb, invisionfree, invision and most recently vB.. This time, the softwares changing again and so is the focus. We might be away for a few weeks - but as always, we've got some surprises up our sleeves for when we get back!

Photosblucket to Close
We regret to announce that our no cost and low cost image hosting site Photosblucket will soon be closing. Its unfortunate, but the sites software has become incompatible with our servers' recent software upgrade and is no longer able to operate properly. New signups have been suspended as of today and images currently hosted there will be available for re-location until the end of August.

We will be terminating the subscriptions of our paid members as of today so no futher premiums will be charged, any payments made within the last 30 days (between 1st & 30th July 2007) will be refunded this week.

We are now looking for a viable replacement for this site. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Network Results - Fourth Quarter 2006 (30 Sept 06 - 31 Jan 07)
For the first time, we're going to publicly piece together our site results from the final quarter of 2006. This includes our top ten networked sites, their hits and our overall network performance in terms of hits during this period. The overall result is quite refreshing given the previous down-turn in school orientated traffic during the summer of 2006.

Wastelands Live - Ongoing Free Airtime Promotion

WastelandsUK Returns
Today the WastelandsUK forums have returned after their long-awaited revamp. The site is now running on a much advanced software version to the previous site and we're excited at the prospect of adding some cool new features to the site soon! Additionally, during the weer of so's downtime the site had it's third birthday (December 1st) and as a joint celebration of this and Christmas, WastelandsUK will be sporting a cool new Christmas look until Jan 1st and will be launching a cash-based competition later this month - Stay Tuned!

SBLNet Comes to the UK
We have now moved all of our hosted sites and services to servers located in the UK. This should now make the sites much faster with regards to page load times for our UK visitors... Obviously though, for anyone who was worried, there will be no significant adverse effect on load times for visitors from the US or elsewhere internationally.
