From the day your life began
Till the day it sorely ended,
You can always be remembered by
The people you befriended.
The children that you raised so well,
Are coping day by day…
The stories that you used to tell,
Will never fade away.
The countless nights you spent down there,
Doing more than just your job,
When rumor spread that you had passed
All people did was sob.
You may be unaware of this
But some you did inspire,
And now you're gone your presence
Is something many now require.
Sometimes when we think of you
We wonder where you are,
If you're up there smiling down
Or if we're wrong by far.
Words were left by many friends
Or people you apprised,
All were deep, most were cherished
None of them disguised.
All we can do is pray for you
And wish you free from pain,
And hope that someday when we're gone
We'll see you again
